We are not the Government
Aged Care HQ is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Australian Government, My Aged Care, Services Australia, or the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. Where we describe how a government program works, the official source is authoritative and we link to it.
Figures change
Aged care fees, contribution caps and most means testing thresholds are indexed on 20 March and 20 September each year, and some Support at Home thresholds are also reviewed in July. Support at Home budgets are usually indexed on 1 July, and can change at other times, as they do on 1 October 2026. Any figure on this site is indicative and correct as at the review date shown on the page. Confirm current amounts with My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or through the official fee estimator before making a financial decision.
Accuracy and corrections
